I change my fuel filter. flushed the fuel lines and changed the spark plugs. it drove great the first day after and a bit rough on the second day. felt like the lines were clogged again. i parked the car and when i tried to restart it the engine wont start. i turn the key and it feels like it wants to turn on but it wont. feels like the battery is dead but power works fine. it cranks but no start up.

I'd start by checking the spark plug condition and function.
Wet........... no spark
Dry............ no fuel
Check for spark anyway. Hot and blue.
Try priming carb with a squirt of gas.
Drain and flush carb. You may need to remove and thoroughly clean if gummed up.
needs a tune-up, spark plugs, wires , distributor cap & rotor, fuel filter, air filter, might need coil also, put some drygas in fuel tank, check all vacumn lines, change oil & filter. DO ALL THIS , IT NEEDS IT i'M SURE, THEN YOU'LL BE GOOD TO GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing you did not mention is the brain box for the ignition which is usually mounted on the fender. Was it changed ? There is also a pickup coil in the bottom of the distributor that could have failed.
Sounds to me like you may have left the air temp sensor or something electronic disconnected - Distributor - MAF sensor - go back and check and make sure that there's not an electrical pigtail somewhere hanging off - a vacuum leak wouldn't keep it from starting unless it were major - and your AUDI is mechanical injection I think - so fuel pull isn't a problem - check those connectors - let me know??? Thanks
