Whoa!!!! You don't need to remove the bumper. 90 and up Accords have a replaceable bulb. The manual says to disconnect the neg. battery cable before starting. You need to access the bulb from the back, remove the connector from the back of the assembly, then turn the retaining ring counterclockwise, remove bulb from housing.
When installing the new bulb DO NOT touch it, oils from your skin will cause the bulb to overheat where it has been touched, and shorten the life of the bulb. Wear gloves to handle it.

Hello!

I´ve just signed in here looking for a solution on my mystic sudden engine stop while driving...?! As I recently, because of a roe deer collision, had to replace the whole headlight housing driver side I at first got stuck how to get enough space to put the new in place.

In this case you have to remove the bumper, the tricky part is how to find the two bolts/nuts that´s holding that side of the bumper. After a while I looked in the instruction manual for the car and the part how to replace the blinker bulb.

For that you need a quite long x - screwdriver to lose the screw that you find to the left of the blinker glass in the angle from left to right. Then you can pull it away. Look in the hole to the left and you se the bults you need to remove to release the bumper to get the space you will need for the rest of the work.

Remark that on the other side of the bumper you don´t have to take the bolts away, just lose them a bit and you will be able to pull it towards to you a little while working.

Excuse me for missreminding, I did´nt lose the bults on the other side of the bumper at all. Just get some help to hold the bumper away while replacing the headlight housing or use something to wide the gap between front and bumper and to support the bumper from fall down during the work.

Hello, firstly I was wondering if the lights shut off when you pull the switch off the harness?
If YES, then THAT switch or wiring could be bad
if NO, then it's most likely the body control module

How can I change the headlights in a 1998 Honda Accord?

Its not that hard but you have to remove bumper to get to the two bottom bolts that holds the headlights. First remove grille and there are 2 10mm bolts that holt the tip of fenders they are the first bolts under the fender weld closes to the bumper cover. Then there are two bumper mounts/brackets that hold bumper to frame/radiator support. they are held by (4) 12mm bolts may need a swivel socket to get to them( easily accessed if you remove front signal lights in the bumper held by philips screws in the corners). After removing bracket bumper should come right off. Headlights are in plain clear view. (4) 10mm bolts and you are done. Re-install in the reverse. Good Luck . If I fixed ya leave me a FIX-YA comment. Contact me if you need more info
