Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue
I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue. When I went to turn the car off today, the key won't turn to the off position so I can take the key out. It goes barely past the ACC position and then stops. I tried turning it on and off again. It starts fine, I just can't get it to go all the way to the off position so I can take the key out. I really don't want to risk my car being stolen since the keys are just sitting in it. Any help would be great! Thanks!
I experienced this just last year and all I did was CAREFULLY push the shifter a bit harder into park and viola key went to off and came out. I later took apart the center console and had found that an electrical wire had gotten between the mechanism that gives permission to the ignition to turn to the off position and let go of the key.

U need to take the steering column apart and check the operation of the park ignition lock cylinder interlock linkage
