Question about 2002 Mercury Sable
2002 mercury sable front wheel drive it wont take any gear and there is oil sludge in the floor
I suppose you mean that there is oil on the floor where it is parked. It's the same as a Ford Taurus, and I suppose you have a 3.3 engine. Lack of oil in the transmission means that it won't go anywhere. If you fill the transmission with fluid, it will leak out again, but you might be able to drive the car - hopefully to transmission shop to fix it. If the car will not drive with fluid added, then it will have to be taken for repairs. What I do when I have a car that won't drive (and has driven to where it's parked) is to add 2 quarts of transmission fluid and then see if it will move. Normally this works & I can move it into my garage for work. Sometimes it takes 3 or so, but thats usually for full size or pickup transmissions. Rick
