They should have replaced it right then. They know that it should be replaced if the EGR valve itself goes bad. They are trained in this and know what they are supposed to do. Tell them if they do not repair it right like they should hae 3 months ago you will go to the BBB and so on to get things right..

Yes I would if you keep the truck there then report to the BBB you really have no idea what might happen with your truck. Some places may tamper with it. In the long run you should be able to recover your money and also a mark on there report will keep people from going there and not getting ripped off either

Sounds like an EGR valve sticking. Start the engine cold and let it warm up. As soon as it starts to hesitate/stumble, pull the vacuum hose off the EGR and if the engine maintains a steady idle, replace the EGR valve. The EGR is sticking intermittently but it won't be long before it sticks all the time and you won't be able to keep the car running when it gets warm. This is an easy diagnosis, removal and replacement for the do it yourself car owners. Please rate me on my answer.

Fuel injector problem

Sounds like either incorrect installiation or defective seals/O rings. May be wise to recommend to the repair shop to use dealer parts if they are not using them.

If the dealer put an egr cooler on and didnt replace oil cooler, it can blow out egr cooler again , restriced oil cooler causes egr cooler to blow out , which in turn can cause overheat and blown headgasket also, if you are seeing white smoke now it is possible for the egr to be blown out again as wel as the oil ooler and/or headgasket

Power gone and heater light flashing (2.0D)

Sounds like your EGR valve has failed,They usually become gunged up and stick open or shut which will give you a loss of power. The valve is not the easiest thing to change but also not the hardest,The dealer will have to clear the trouble code from your car though....hope this helps
