High idle on 1996 ford f150 six cyl. already replaced tps
The problem could also be caused by a bad mass airflow sensor. you may be able to get one cheap at a junk yard.

no. was looking for any possible sensor probs 1st. all else says possible intake leak also
i will check for a leak in the manifold . if that doesnt work, i will check maf sensor
what do i check manifold leak with & how?
will check tomorrow with spray. Thanx for the help.
use carburetor spray cleaner, if you spray a leak the engine idle will change allot, spray where the manifold bolts to the head..
I am a Ford factory trained tech, check what I said.
The only real cause of high idle on these engines is a vacuum leak at the intake manifold, have u tested the intake for leaks?
