If fluid is full and clean, likely the noise is the pump (in the front of the unit) Nothing I know of will fix it aside from replacement. I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but that's the reality of it.

Pump is located inside the bellhousing. The transmission input shaft runs through it. It also serves as the front cover of the transmission.
Trans needs to be removed to get to it. Generally, when the pump begins to fail it is caused by debris from another failure or wear inside the unit.

Trany wines only in gear

for the transmission to make a noise only in gear, is an indication of failing bearings as the load is applied to the cluster shaft bearings. Pull the drain plug and check for metal stuck to the magnet in the plug

Hi, what oil and how much does my renault espace 1.9dci 6 speed 2003 gearbox need. there is a wine in the box so i thought i could put thicker oil in to get rid of the wine? and there is no drive in 6th...

hi this might not have anything to do with the actual gear box, this sounds more like your clutch is on its way out, the wine you hear may be the thrust bearing bearings worn, and the no drive in 6th gear means that it has worn to the extent that it will not drive 6th gear, it will be better to get this checked out, but i am pretty sure it is not the actual gearbox...hope this helped

1983 coupe deville powersteering wineing

you might have just gotten your lines crossed backwards when you do a steering pump with line change out the fluid doesnt stay with the steering gear box
start vehicle after filling the pwsp.
turn wheels both directions for at least a minute with pwsp. cap off watch the fluid if lowers then its going to gear box where its required to stay the wineing is something the box does when its brand new it has to broken in like shoes propper fluid is a plus
