1995 Honda v tech makes a bad sound when you shift into 2nd gear

Manual or automatic transmission? If manual, go a little faster and skip 2nd gear, till you can get the money to fix it. If it automatic, It will eventually quit pulling. Noise in them is usually metal grinding. The longer you drive it, the more damage it will cause. And affect many other parts in there. A $2000 fix will turn into a $4000 fix.

My 1991 honda accord is a stick shift and when i'm driving sometimes it sounds like something is grinding and a repair tech at AAMCO told me i needed a new slave cylinder. does this sound correct

well i hope he is.. cause there are many thing that will cause that, for example the grinding noise from the transmission is a broken gear in the Gear box. (transmission).. The only way to be sure is to actually observe it our selves which we cant. In this case i would advise you trust the tech and if needed get a second opinion. However if you can answer these question we should be able to help.

is there any other sounds or vibrations while driving ??
where is the sound coming from ?? (what part of the car like left side front wheel)..

does the rims get hot ??
is there a clacking sound while turning left or right hard.
is the noise constant and increases with speed ? (if its this one chances are its a wheel bearing)

Making a whining noise when turning the wheels

It could be a couple of things. first, check your power steering fluid. It could be low ccausing the whine. Second it could be under inflated tires causing the whinning. hope this helps

94 civic ex clutch noise

Time to get the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing replaced.
And on a car that old the pin or ball which the fork pivots should be replaced also.

94 honda civic key will not come out or go into gear when cold ok when it is warm just when it is cold out side replaced ignition switch no difference

The only thing I can think of would be your "interlock solenoid". It's the noise your hear when you put on your brake pedal before putting it in gear. It's under your plastic shift console area. It has a plug on it and a little switch. Go to the site below for a lot of knowledge about this system and your problem:

Grinding sound on front passenger side of 91 honda accord.

Well, if the transmission seems to be okay , The timing belt or chain is most likely the noise based on the age of the vehicle. The tech you took the vehicle to should be able to pin point the noise with stethascope ears.

Make sure the oil level is full.

Good Luck

Shifter stick kept popping out of gear. eventually ended up with just reverse. the car runs and starts however, it sounds like a grinding noise when i try put it into 1st or 2nd. the noise is coming from...

It sounds like the hyd. clutch is not working. If the clutch won't release then you can't get the transmission in a gear while it is running, without that grinding noise.
