Check all the ignition components.sounds like when you get moisture, there is an issue.
coil packs, coil on plug and ignition modules are very moisture sensitive.there is a spray you can buy to help with that

Truck will not start when it snows or rains. turns over fine, just wont catch fire. any suggestions?

Hello pdstom

One the main items to check with this engines is the cap and rotor for corrosion on the electrodes.

This horizontal cap is prone to corrosion and moisture form the snow and rain can cause a no start situation.

If corrosion is found replace cap and rotor.

2004 Ford Ranger XLT miss fires in blowing snow

Sounds like you have a bad spark plug wire. Start the vehicle, then take a squirt bottle of water and spray around the plug wires. You should find it. It'll look like static around the bad one. Also you should get the misfire. You'll probably find a worn area on the wire. Best wishes to you.
