I have a 96 falcon ef and it does not have dip stick which I thought was very strange but some models do not come with a dip stick...I took to a trans mechanic and had the trans checked and filter changed and new fluids. Mechanic said if no leaks bring it back in 12 months for another service...cheers

Will a auto transmission cooler from a ED falcon fit an EF falcon

If it is in the radiator it should as the fittings are the only problem you are likely to encounter. If you are wondering if the cooling capability is affected consider this . Hot tranny oil has to be cooled in the radiator water and this heat makes the radiaror work hard. Why don"t you consider a external cooler. They keep the oil cooler as they are are running in the outside air. Ie air temp 30 deg C oil temp 150c+ water temp 85degC oil temp 150c. You can see that the tranny oil looses more heat and it will not overload the radiator capability

1999 Ford Falcon AU Ute Transmission Fluid spilled out onto the driveway. How do I add Transmission Fluid?

Under the car on the bottom of the transmission case is a plug you fill there, but hold on you need a special tool to fill it and if not used and you overfill it you can ruin the transmission, Also you have some serious issue if that much fluid leaked out and need the dealer to find out the source of the loss of fluid.

Firing order for a 1996 EF ford falcon

EF & EL are 1,5,3,6,2,4
EF has a coil pack under the inlet manifold the EL has a distributor
EF uses a waste spark system so 2 plugs are fired at the same time eg 1 & 6 - 2 & 5 - 3 & 4
