Question about 1992 Subaru SVX
The car drove using the AWD set up it has for a while. Saturday the car shut down and I couldn't get it to start. We got it to start, but now it is FWD and it has a lit icon on the dash board. How do I get it back to the AWD setup before this problem causes more problems. Ive never seen or heard of an AWD system changing itself to FWD
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

This is a task for a specialist transmission repairer. Don't attempt this yourself unless you want an expensive mess on your hands.
Seek out a competent transmission specialist that is familiar with these transmissions. However I would suggest you get some quotes for a replacement rebuilt unit on a change over basis. This can be fitted in a day and your vehicle will not be out of service for long.
