The starter is on the back top of the engine on the right or driver side Its coming out of the engine so it should be hard to find if you know what a starter looks like

Cannot get my snow blower to turn on because the parking brake symbol is on on the dash

The symbol is telling you to lock the park brake on as it will be a safety requirement before it allows it to start.

More than likely a bad ground in the wiring harness's. Have you changed your transmission, Alternator, or starter? Or added a trailer plug on the bumper?

Unknown dash warning symbol

I believe this is a brake warning light. Parking brake is on? Brake fluid is low?

1989 - GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 has 2 issues: 1) dash brake light flashes with engine on, but repair shop says all brakes are functioning properly and pads and rotors are OK & safe to drive, but they don't...

put a remote starter cycloid on the firewall that's hooked to the one on the starter to get rid of the having for it to cool in order start it. At least that solved my problem. As for the brake light flashing..well mine does too but everything works....it's most likely a short somewhere. The biggest problem is driving off with the parking brake set. As for the hood. My paint is fried as well. I think it's because there is no insulation installed under the hood. Who knows. Good luck

1994 gp 3100 ,wont start, turn key getting all the dash lites but starter not engaging, security lite is flashing, the car was drove to my hse i know it runs any ideas, battery is new, key is a #7.with key...

You need to set the parking brake, Turn the key on let it sit like that for 10 mins. the sec light will either start flashing or will stay on or go off when done (This will reset)
REPEAT 3 times!
Then you should be able to start the car after the 3rd time!

Parking brake light on 2003 1.5 dci

If the hand brake goes on and off normally and the car behaves properly without any brake binding, I think the best shot is to bring it to the Renault dealer as it might be a fault that they already know of and who knows may be there is a factory recall on these and you could end up paying peanuts for the fix..
Cheers and good luck
