Question about 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Super Cab

1 Answer

The Fan in My F350 airconditioner is not blowing very hard.

I have had many people comment on how pathetic the airconditioner seems to be in my F350. It is a twin cab 2000 model and has been converted to right hand drive for use here in Australia. All the mechanics who have looked at it say the air con is cold as it should be, but they can't tell me why the fan blows so weakly even when set to maximum. It gets pretty uncomfortable in the vehicle when the outside temps reach into the high 30s (celcius) and the humidity is high outside. I have to use a small 12volt fan inside as well just so I don't collapse with the heat! Also there is water dripping down onto the floor on the passenger side from under the dash. The 2nd compressor to be fitted to this vehicle has also just blown up. Does this sound suspicious to any of the experts? Please can any one help me with this?
Regards, Jan O

Check to see if the fan is wired correctly. if the wires are backwards the fan will work but because it is spinning the wrong direction it wont blow the right airflow

2002 f350 powerstroke, keep blowing fuse #45. seems to blow when i shift out of park, or could be when i release the park brake.

The wire from you shifter overdrive button rubbed and will ground but not everytime. The truck will idle but you will have only a idle. Open the top cover and you will see the bad spot, Fix or replace and you are good.

Overheating problem with a 1992 F350

Your truck should have a radiator fan clutch. check it for excessive play or to see if its locked or too hard to spin. i'm thinking this is the most probable cause for your erratic temp fluctuation. If you haven't replaced your thermostat in a while, now would be a good time to do so as well.

Air conditioner fan just stopped blowing

Check your fuses first. Then if you have no fan in A/C or heat it sounds like a blower control switch is bad.
