With a vault meter check that there is 12 volts at the wiper motor with ignition and wiper switches on . If no voltage wiper switch or fuse faulty. If 12 volts motor at fault.
Hi, "FIRST MAKE SURE YOUR FUSES ARE GOOD". you need to make sure that fuse 22 has power when the problem occurs. If you have power to the fuse then I would suspect a faulty combination switch in the steering column. If you do not have power to fuse 22 when the problem occurs then you have a faulty ignition switch.
First check the wiper fuse then check the relay by turning wipers to on position and listen for the relay to click if it clicks its good.If they are good then turn the ignition and wiper switches on and check for 12 volts at the wiper motor. If you 12 volts then the wiper motor is faulty.Replace motor.
Your symptoms are typically that of a defective fuse. There are no relays for either the wipers or the washer pump and both operate off the same fuse. Check the fuse again and make sure that it is making good contact on both contacts. With the ignition on, check that you have 12 v + on one of the fuse contacts to earth, use a volt meter or a 12 volt bulb to check this. If you have power and the wipers are still inoperative you will have to start looking at wiring and the wiper/washer switch incoming power wire right from the fuse box.
Hello! If you have a volt meter, check the following points for +12 volts...At the wiper motor assembly connector...Check Pin A Purple wire...Pin B Dark/Green.. Turn wiper switch to low and measure both pins...Do the same with switch on high...If +12 volts is not present the wiper switch is defective...If +12 volts is present at both switch positions the ground feed to the wiper motor is open...Ground is the Black wire on Pin C...Guru...Saailer
Unplug wires at the motor. Then with the wipers switched on check for a 12 volt reading. If you are getting 12 volts then your wiper motor needs replacing If your not getting 12 volts then the switch is faulty replace it.Good luck.
Winshield wipers inoperative in all switch positions:
Does your windshield washer work? Check circuit breaker in fuse panel. If it is good then you may have either a bad wiper motor or switch. If you have a volt meter check the white wire (going off 93 wiring color code) on wiper motor connector with switch in low to see if you have 12 volts. If you have 12 volts then you may have a bad wiper motor. If you don't then you may have a bad switch. Hope this helps.
