Unable to get rear set to lie flat and/or reach jack

I have a 2007 silverado classic Crew Cab. I stated to work and noticed I now have a flat tire. I managed to get the spare free but am unable to get to the jack behind the rear seat. the manual says "The lever at the base of the seat must be turned rearward to release the seatback.".. either I am frustrated, dumb or a little bit of both - I can not get the rear seatback to lower and have no idea where the lever is. thanks in advance

How to remove spare tire from 2007 nissan frontier?

Not sure about the 2007 but in an earlier one I owned there was a key-slot opening above the rear bumper (and below the tailgate) that you put the jack handle into and cranked it down using the chain lift mechanism that was built into it.

An orange light came on in the dashboard

that light comes on when you either have a flat or low tire pressure. if its obviously not flat then you may have low enough tire pressure to have triggered the sensor. hope this helps

Safty lock for spare tire on 2003 chevy silverado will not release..tried cranking it all the way back up and lowering it down again but the lock would not release the tire i have been stuck on the road...

Check your owners manual .There is a saftey catch that will need to be realased by using your bottle jack and tire stops that come with your truck. If you dont have a owners manual. What you can try is taking a floor jack and a socket place it under the spairtire right in the center where the cable holds the tire in place. start jacking it up until the socket hits the square part in the center once the socket is aligned with the square part continue to jack up it should release it . Its a stupid system but it will work if the cable wont allow the tire to drop. good luck and keep me posted.

2007 Chevy Classic Crew Cab tried to overheat in traffic for the first time. I have 48000 miles.

Your vehicle should never over heat regardless of age. Your thermostat and radiator cap will however become tired and will need to be replaced. The coolant in your engine should also be replaced as the PH level will rise and this will eat away at your radiator.
As for your brakes squealing, they may need to be replaced. There are little springs on your front brakes that will contact your rotor and these are intended to let you know that you have 10% left.
