Are you a DIY? If so I recommend you invest in a repair manual. your favorit auto parts store or filepeep.com or manualslib.com. you will need it next time anyway.

WHAT IS THE FIREING ORDER OF 1983 V8GASOLINE BENZ

The firing order for an '83 Mercedes-Benz V-8 is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. And, here's some more information. If you are wondering which physical plug corresponds to the number 1, look at the engine's banks (it's a V-8, so there will be two banks for four cylinders). As you stand there -- you should be at the front looking toward the windshield -- the left-hand bank of cylinders are 1 to 4 (1,2,3,4) and the right-hand bank is 5 to 8 (5,6,7,8). I hope this helps.

What is the cause of loose play in the steering wheel of a 1985 380sl?? Thanks

Check leather bushing in steering column under hood or could be tie rods. anything else would be in the column and replacement would be needed.

I have a 380sl Mercedes Benz which had been sitting up for about a year and when I started it and got it to a mechanic he said that it seems like the timing is off and I was wondering what the settings...

It will say on the emmission sticker-usually + or - 5 degrees atdc( some say to disconnect the vac. line and some say to leave it connected).. A major issue is the timing chains strectching and breaking. If the car hasn't been started and the engine is cranked without disconnecting the ignition system the oil pressure isn't built up and the chain slaps around alot and could damage a guide rail or stretch the chain. The first thing I would do is inspect the mechanical timing and then go from there.
