Key stuck in the ignition slot and can not remove it?

remove the physical key? or make the IMMO lamp happy the lamp tell you good or bad.
what is stuck into what.?

if Securty lamp glows it will not start. the engine.
the came with 2 keys that work, try the 2nd yet.?

Is the shift button still depressed? Try popping it out with a thin piece of metal and the key should come out. Also try using some penitrating oil on the slot / key to get it out like liquid wrench not wd40. Then, use some graphite grease on the key and slot to prevent this in the future and clean the shifter button

Insert your key in the ignition and turn the key to the "ACC," or "Accessories," position.

Insert a straightened paper clip into the small, circular slot to the left of the ignition slot.

Turn the key to the "Off" position.

Pull gently on both the paper clip and the key to slide the cylinder out of its slot. You can then remove the paper clip and pull the key out of the removed cylinder.

Starter relay is stuck and has engaged solenoid on starter motor. Locate relay by removing (trial and error) and replace

1. Place lock cylinder in RUN position.

Do not remove the ignition key buzzer.

1. Insert a small drift pin into the turn signal housing slot. Keeping the drift pin to the right side of the slot, break the housing flash loose and depress the spring latch at the lower end of the lock cylinder. Remove the lock cylinder.

WARNING Considerable force may be necessary to break this casting flash, but be careful not to damage any other parts. When ordering a new lock cylinder, specify a cylinder assembly. This will save assembling the cylinder, washer, sleeve and adapter.

You may want to try pushing fordward harder into the park position while turning the key to the off position. The locking cable may need adjustment. If this does not work, try turning the collar just behind the keyswitch counter clockwise while trying to remove the key.Thanks, Dana

I'm assuming that the key is removed from the ignition and it's still chiming..
Take some lock lube spray and spray a bit in your ignition key slot. Then take the key and insert it in and out a few times. This may release a stuck contact in the ign. switch.
The chime will also sound if the lights are left on...worth a check too.
These are cheap fix/checks...hope they help.

It sounds like you bent a tumbler pin.
You might want to try spraying WD40 into it, and trying the key (multiple times)
Otherwise you might just be stuck having to replace the lock assembly.

You might want to try calling a locksmith to see if they can do anything for you.
