Question about 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2 Answers

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee sometimes when I start the Jeep the radio has no sound. The only way to fix is to turn off and turn back on the ignition. This always fixes the problem. According to dealership not a software update issue. Told me it was my radio and replaced the radio. Still have same problem.

It is the wiring problem that you have not the radio . Even if you will buy 100 pcs . of the radio if the wiring is not in place it will not work . may be its grounded . ask for the schimatic wiring of the radio to the battery and to the ignition switch .

I GET THE CODE P 1594 ON A 1999 GRAND CHEROKEE

The P1594 means that the battery voltage sense input is above the target. This is most probably a problem with the alternator. I would take it to a shop where they can test the alternator for you.

Have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee laredo put key in ignition and dash board says damaged key and another service security key jeep wont start

This sounds like a bad chip in the key, try a spare key, if it starts with spare key then key is bad, if it doesnt start then you will need reprograming

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Starter

Do you have an alarm on this? If you do, that is most likely the problem. There seems to be a problem with the alarms. You may want to have a new key made just in case. Sometimes the keys are magnetically charged and after time, it wears off.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine dies, won't start

It is ignition related, check the ecm for trouble codes, then I would do a complete tune-up and if that doen't fix it then check the crank sensor which is what it sounds like anyway but it's cheaper to do a tune-up first just incase

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

It sure sounds like a starter solenoid issue, they act just like that, had exactly the same concern on my car, no crank just clicks under hood, new starter solenoid contacts cured the problem. I don't know if your solenoid is rebuild-able or not, I think it is a Japanese starter so most likely it is.
