Question about 2003 Honda Element

2004 Honda Element: The passenger side window won't stay up!

The passenger side window on my 2004 Honda Element made a weird noise, then would not go back up. Now I'm stuck with a window that will not stay up. The motor still makes noise on the "uptake," but won't push the glass up. Any suggestions? Is this a common problem?

Thanks!

The motor running gear has come off the bottom of the glass, quite common.you may be able to buy the little clips that go on the glass seperately if they are broken or you may have to buy the whole assembly.easiest thing to do at the moment is to take off the door trim and jam a piece of wood under the glass once you have raised it closed. hope this helps

Passenger's side window made a "funny" noise when

Sounds like ur window regulator is having difficulty to go up!

Check the window regulator, by opening ur door interior finisher, look at how the windows moves, and NOTiCE the cables that runs across the regulator. check also the sides of the window, where the glass were guided by rubber moulding, see to it that the glass window passes in the middle of the moulding!

That might wind ur probs down!
