THIS IS CAUSED BY THE BLOWER SPEED CONTROL RESISTOR, IT IS LOCATED JUST TO THE SIDE OF THE BLOWER MOTOR IN THE AIR DUCT.

I have a bmw318i e36and the aircon has stoped workingthe gas is alright

have the ac tested by an accredited ac specialist as as the pressure has to be correct to make the system work. The relay is probably controlled by a low pressure and a high pressure switch in the system to protect parts from destruction and by by passing it you may contribute to early preventable failure.

My bakkie seems to over heat on hot days with the aircon on but when i switch aircon off she cools down. I have flusehd the radiator and the thermostat is working. It don't happen all the time only...

Check to see if you have an air conditioner fan which is usually fitted on the outer (grill) side of the radiator, make sure that works when you switch the air conditioner on when the temperature goes up.

Car jerks when I stop only when I have air conditioner on

When the aircon is switch on it puts a substantial load to the engine: you need to get your car tuned to take into account the load from the aircon. Most car have a mechanism that increases the idle speed when the aircon is active: if you are unable to get your car tuned yet, try making the engine idle speed slighty faster while you have the aircon turn-on (the ajustment screw should be close to the accelator cable connection at your engine end). Don't make the idle speed too high and check by turning the aircon off and on to assess the best compromise idle speed to stop your car from almost stalling (e.g. jerking).

Good luck!

Hi,
The car per se has no problems - but finding this sort of thing can be maddening. I would start with changing out the heat light control switch. This is ususally the problem - the item that gets the most on -off - on off and - the item we dread to replace because of cost.

Sadly this looks like it is the problem. HOW EVER - there is some GOOD NEWS

Take down the VIN number and call the dealer - ask about RECALLS and you will join thousands that have saved millions.

Heat When Heater Isn't On

hi. . . . . well maybe your aircons just screwed up. . . cuz that would make the air hot. . . another would be your evaporator fan is wrecked ( this is true if your aircon is cold when you start up but after a while jsut gets hot)

about the odometer. . . first chec if your speedometer is working , , cuz if it ist then the odometer isnt the problem . its your speed sensor thats wacked. . . . 8) if the odometer is broken you gota take it out and check for breaks in the circuits or wiring ,,, or just go to a junk shop and change it , , , , bet you can get a cheap 1 . . . . .
