The brake reservoir is on the firewall on the right side (pretty much in line with the steering wheel). You'll see some oddly bent metal tubes coming off of it.

Adding brake fluid is not recommended. It's a closed system, so any fluid loss means there's a problem with your brakes somewhere - if you've recently had brake work done, bring it back because there's air in the lines. If not, you may have a leak in one of the lines that needs to be addressed before it gets any worse.

I want to know what the black cap by the oil dipstick is on a 2010 Pontiac G6?

On a 2002 mustang it is the reservoir for brake fluid. The fluid level should not be high enough to leak. One way to get too much is if someone adds fluid to the reservoir because the level is low. Its normal for the level to go down as the brake pads wear. The piston pushing on the brake pad requires more fluid to force the brake pad into the brake rotor as the pad wears. If you put more fluid in and later replace your brake pads, the pistons must be pushed back to their original position to install the new pads. Pushing back on the pistons causes a backflow of fluid to the reservoir. Since you added more fluid earlier there is now too much and it can overflow. If this is your problem you can bleed out excess fluid. The valve to bleed the fluid is down behind the wheel near the brake pad calipers.

I don't know where to add clutch fluid.

Should be a white plastic reservoir under your hood on the firewall on the driver's side. It will have a cap on it. Should be one for the brakes and one for the clutch.

Adding Brake Fluid

That little plug keeps the fluid from splashing up and running out of the cylinder. Just pour the fluid on top of the rubber cover and the height of the plug indicates the level of the fluid.

To what level do I add brake fluid

Remove the cap from the master cylinder reservoir. Add DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid from a sealed container to the reservoir until the level reaches the full mark on the side of the reservoir. Reinstall the cap

How do you put brake fluid into a 2001 ford windstar?

I know it wasn't a very good engineering design, but the brake reservoir is up underneath the cowling for the windshield wipers on the drivers side. The fill cap is on top, and not easy to access. You will need a very flexible funnel (like a tranny funnel) or a small funnel you can add a piece of flexible hose to to reach the fill cap. You should never need to add brake fluid unless you have just replaced some brake pads or shoes. If the reservoir is low it would indicate your brakes are worn and need replacing soon, or there is a fluid leak in the system.

Where is the brake fluid reservoir for a 2002 toyota camry solora?

The brake fluid reservoir should be located on the driver's side directly in front of the firewall in the engine compartment . The cap that you remove to add brake fluid should be labeled brake fluid only .

How to put brake fluid in

Find the master cylinder on the driver's side under the hood. There should be a cap that you can remove to add fresh DOT 3 brake fluid into a reservoir as the brake pads and shoes wear, or if there is a leak.

Is normal because the brake pads/liners wear off ! As long you do not have a wet area by any wheel or at the master cylinder.
