Question about 1995 Buick Century
In my 1995 Buick Century with 98,000 miles there is thumping in the transmission when the car is first started. After a few seconds (5 - 15 seconds) the noise goes away. The noise is timed with the engine....when I rev the engine the nosie will spead up. When car is strarted cold, first in the morning, I do not hear the noise. My mechanic said when touching the transmission while the car is running, she could feel this thumping. When driving the car it runs perfect...no issues at all. Any ideas to what this thumping noise is caused from!
Could easily be torque converter internal broken part. This is a common problem. I would check the transmission oil filter and the pan to see if there are any metal filings anywhere. If so, you need new trans and torque converter. Rick
