are you talking about the cabin air filter??
if so you push in both sides of the glove box to open it all the way up then unlatch the 2 clips on the side of the filter gently slide the old filter out and slide the new one in place then reassemble in reverse

Lower ur glovebox, remove the 2 clips on each end of ur glovebox...i should fold all the way down...theres a long horizontal black removal door with 2 clips or tabs on it, release the tabs and pull it out, u should see the air conditioning micron filter,, replace and reinstall everything the way it came off...the glove box clips just pop back in.. pop them back in while it is raise ....

At what mileage is a 2004 Honda Civic 4door Si due for transmissionn service i.e. tranny oil and filter

You need the owners manual, which you can order
from Honda, and follow the operating under severe
conditions schedule. This a high performance version
of the civic and should demand more frequent maint.
My 05 Accord owners manual, under normal operating
conditions, has some ridiculous 10k for the oil and 20k
for the filter change sched. Meanwhile, my Honda service
rep. pulled me to the side and says change oil and filter
every 4k. You be the judge.
