Resetting the check engine soon light

My check engine soon light is still on after my mechanic changed some fuel injectors and wires. He forgot to reset it and it would be easier for me to reset it than try and get a free moment with him. How do I reset by myself?

Is there an erg valve on a honda accord 2008 4 cyl

code p0300 refers to--random/multiple cylinder/s misfire detected...Causes---spark plugs---HT leads---injectors---ignition coils ---low compression ---wiring
code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected Causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/fuel system ---ECT/MAF sensors ECM
code po303 refers to cylinder 3 misfire detected Causes Engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system ---injector---ECT/MAF sensor ECM The common fault to all is the fuel/system ignition
I would have the injectors checked and have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check pump and fuel regulator valve.

I have a 2004 3.9L Mustang with the "check engine soon" light on. I read the codes and 0300, 0301, 0305 and 0316 were up, while the car was still driving fine. Soon, it started to lose strenght, I bar

Best to read the codes first---code p0300 refers to random multiple cyl-- misfire detected causes-- spark plugs---HT leads--ignition coils--wiring.
code p0301 refers tocylinder 1-- misfire detected causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition /fuel system ---injector---ECT/Maf sensor(Mass air flow) ECM.
code p0305 refers to cylinder 5 misfire detected causes ---same as 0301
code p0316 refers to misfire detected during start up -first 1000 rpms---causes--- engine mechanical fault---wiring----ignition/fuel system---injector. I would run a fuel system pressure pressure test as the common causes here is the fuel/injectors

Have a 1998 dodge caravan with service engine soon light still on after fixing code 205 and 206. Tried to reset it but the light will not go off. I need to pass emissions soon. What do I need to do.

The symptoms for this code (both) will likely be a misfire and a rough running engine. Poor acceleration. The MIL will also be illuminated. The causes of a P0206 engine light code could be any of the following:
* Bad injector. This is usually the cause of this code but doesn't rule out the possibility of one of the other causes
* Open in the wiring to the injector
* Short in the wiring to the injector
* Bad PCM

Your possible solutions, first, using a DVOM check the resistance of the injector. If it isn't within specs, then replace the injector.
* Check for voltage at the fuel injector connector. It should have 10 volts or more.
* Visually check the connector for damage or broken wires.
* Visually check the injector for damage.

Also, if you have access to an injector tester, activate the injector and see if it operates. If the injector operates, then you likely have either an open in the wiring, or a blocked injector. If you do not have access to a tester, swap the injector with another one and see if the code changes. If the code changes, then change the injector.

At the PCM, remove the driver wire from the PCM connector and Ground the wire. (Make sure you have the correct wire. If you're not sure, do not attempt) The injector should activate
* Replace the injector

Hope helps.

I have a 99' F250 Super Duty 7.3 and i just changed the oil as soon as i started the truck the 'service engine soon ' light came on. I have put 4 different scanners on and no codes came up. I drove it and...

Try repriming your fuel system. On some diesels, when you replace fuel filters, you have to prime them. I dont see how that affects your oil though. Did you put all 15qts of oil in?

Service Engine soon light, codes P0301 and P0171, replace plugs

Hi,, Well the service engine light comes on when your car needs to be tuned up, this happens when the timing belt needs changing or nearing its life span. Basically it involves changing the belt (optionally >) engine oil, transmission fluid, radiator coolant, fuel injection and throttle body servicing, changing gas filter, air filter etc. Its to prevent damages to your car. After its serviced the mechanic will need to clear all error codes and reset the cars computer. Clearing the error codes is done with a diagnostic tool, to reset the cars computer , remove the negative battery pole and press the brak as far as it will go, wait 60 second release and reconnect the battery pole. Some vehicles may need to be caliberated if it has an electronic throttle body system
