Most mirrors are held in place with 3 bolts. If all are removed, the mirror should come off relatively easily. If it is electric, there will be a wiring harness that has to be disconnected as well. The door panel may have to be removed to access all 3 bolts and for seperation of any electrical connectors
On the passenger side A-pillar harness. Big ol taped together bunch of wires that run up the side near the door under the dash. Are your vents stuck on defroster? It needs a different vacuum piece replaced. 4.5 hour job. Take it in...
This procedure may help. At least, you will know if the motor is good or not. Set a spare battery by the door and use jumper wires to connect to the motor. Pull the motor connector off, and connect the jumper wires-doesn't matter which side of connector- Does motor sound or operate? If nothing, then reverse the jumper leads, and see if motor operates in the opposite direction? If window motor is good. leave windowt up, and look for broken wires to the switch in both door openings, where breaks usually occur. If motor has nothing with jumper wires tried both ways, then you know the motor is out. There should be a way to manually get the window up, but I don't know. To remove regulator I believe in most cases, the glass is removed first, then access regulator fasteners to remove regulator and motor. Good luck.
remove the inner door panel, unhook the window glass from the regulator that lowers and raises the window,, lift it up by hand and glide the window outside the door, towards the outside of the car, it fits easier that direction and leaves more room for play,, install it the same way , from the outside in,, in removing the glass, some have a hole with a vinyl bolt holding them on, and others have a double sided tape, the bolts are easy , the tape is a little tougher,, us a thin putty knife or blade to remove it
its come off the track and hold down inside the door , remove the panel inspect the window glass at the bottom, some have holes in them that a vinyl insert clamps to, and others are secured with only a double sided tape,, one or the other of these has come loose
you have to remove the door panel..unbolt the tracking from inside the door..slide the windows back inside the track rails....push window all the way up..tape the window so that id does not fall back down or have someone hold window up while you rebolt the track to the door.replace door panel....the tracks move over time and that it why the window fell.
It is most likely a rod has fallen off inside the door. You may have to use a coat-hanger to read down inside and pull back on door latch to open it up. Then after it is opened, remove screws on inner door panel, remove window/lock controls, take a big flat-head screwdriver and gently pry next to the plastic tabs holding on door panel. Remove door panel and put window back on track , and replace or reattach door handle rods.
Try switching the power window switch from the passenger side to the drivers side. Before you do that try with the switch on the up position, wiggle it from side to side. The contacts may be worn and by wiggling it may make contact. Other then that try to park it in side or garbage bag taped to keep rain out till you get it to the shop.
Hint, take it to a Auto window repair shop to replace the switch if it's bad or if the motor is bad. They have more experience to removing the door panels and removing the power window regulator (motor) if that needs to be replaced.
Good luck and hope this helps.
You are having a problem with the "window regulator" remove the door panel, see if the window regulator bolts fell out. they are usually in between the plastic door covering and the door or inside the door on the bottom. they are four bolts that a 10 mm wrench fit, they are short about 1/4 of an inch long, if they fell out you can simply put them back in (I recommend using lock tite on them) These bolts are located in the middle of the door a little towards the front. If your bolts are still in place you probably need a window regulator.
