Check engine light came on 2002 vw turbo diesel beetle?

well first off you need to have the codes checked and go from there there are many reasons that can cause the engine light to come on. when you find what codes are stored in it you can go from there. as for the turn signals most of th time i replace the emergency flasher switch. but it wouldnt hurt to check the fuses first.

My 2000 vw beetle turbo the turbo wont kick in

On the Turbo there is a small vacume pipe that leads to the intake, ensure this pipe has not come off or become damaged.

Otherwise it may be possible that there is an internal problem with the turbo.

VW have their own spec anti freeze/coolant, but any good quality upper market anti freeze can be used and some will even say that they are recommended by VW. Follow the directions on the container for mix and dilution.

Overheated 2000 vw beetle

does it sound like there is any compression. remove cover on the right side that covers t-belt see if belt might have broken. if cooling system failed could have blow fuse for cooling fans. causing overheating.

My wife has a 2000 diesel beetle. This last month

Well, a little oil in the intercooler is okay but a lot is not. Excessive oil in the intercooler usually means the seals in the turbo are leaking. VW diesel have a very bad problem with clogging the intake with carbon. If you remove the intake tube at the throttle body, hold open the "shut down" plate (the butterfly in the TB) and look with a light you will most likely see a huge restriction from goopy, black, carbon. The only way to clean it out well is to remove the intake and clean with carb cleaner, wire brushes and chisels. This could be the cause of overfull oil level (unburned fuel leaking down the cylinders due to lack of air flow from intake. I have seen and repaired lots of these and this sounds like your problem. Best of Luck

1999 Volkswagon beetle turbo diesel injection pump

Was any work just done to this car? Timing belt? It is rare that these pumps go bad but I have seen a few shell out. If you are not familiar with the ALH diesel engine I would not try to replace it. You should take it to a shop that specializes in VW's.

Oil pressure light comes on when I put the car in motion (at about 2000 rpms)

all turbo engines have a oil line to the turbo. If it is not getting oil the turbo will burn up and have to be replaced. Change your oil and filter to start with.
