If you are not familiar with a transmission repair, i would recommend taking this car to a qualified technician. transmission repairs are very sophisticated and it is not a do it yourself for most car owners. Simply replacing a gear will not fix this. this trans will have to be totally rebuilt.

Wrecking yard and get another used tranny. If I were you unless you have the factory OEM overhaul manual I wouldn't attempt to raplace gears in an automatic tranny.

My 1996 toyota tercel (automatic transmission) doesn't shift into gear when I put it in gear and not sure if transmission needs to be replaced and if it doesn't get fixed soon, what will...

you check the ATF (trans oil) condition this good indiccator for your trans status . (burn mean clutch inside burn ) have small chips . change ATF and filter and make sure it;s in level.

Automatic gear shift in 94 toyota tercel stuck

what is stuck?

the linkage or the cable from the shifter to the trans.?

block the tires so the car can not roll away...
open the hood and remove the cable from the shifter on the transmission.
see if you can manualy move the shifter on the trans.
if that moves... you may need to replace the cable (shift linkage)

Where is the transmission fill on the manual transmission of a 1994 Toyota Tercel 4wd station wagon?

Check both sides of the gearbox for a plug (screw) simular to the drain plug on the bottom. This is a level screw remove it then on the bottle of trans. oil their should be a lid with a pipe on it put the pipe in the hole and squeze the bottle until the oil comes out of the hole in the gearbox.

On a standard 94 corrolla, is tranny fluid used or gear fluid and how much?

Depends. If it is manual transmission, gear fluid; if it is automatic, then automatic trans fluid. I guess you are asking abot differential fluid, right? Auto trans fluid go into differential and AT gearbox. Gear oil go into manual transmission and differential.

first a black thick cable connects between acclerator control and the straight to the gearbox.[yoou can find it easily].just put less force and pull towards you[just a inch, holding top end in your hand] and release back to normal.if you cant then you have to clean the cable.secondly, clean the filter in the automatic can be doneby petrol and dry with blower.
