This one of those jobs that has two ways of fixing it. Your simplest and easiest way to do this is to remove and replace the whole thing.
First check to see if there is any wiring fitted to the unit. Disconnect it from under the seat. ***This will be part of the emergency restraint system so BE CAREFUL.***
If you can see the coin you can carefully and 'Patiently' work it back out.
Use a pair of fine plastic tweezers. **Don't** use metal tools!! This can set off the crash safety system 'Including' the Air bags.
i just fixed that problem on my 2003 cayenne turbo it is low voltage from the battery itself wich the porsche management system will shut it down to save other things replace battery with a good one under left hand side seat
DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!!!!!! As long as the system has not been tampered with a Honda Dealership will fix it free of charge. The system is under a lifetime warranty that is valid for the car, not just the original owner. The one thing you can do w/o voiding the warranty is check the fuses and relays under the hood. If the relays are fine then it is more than likely the motor unit which is behind the side panel in the back seat.
Unless it has been stolen, it is unlikely the disc is missing.
This disc the error references comes installed inside the navigation unit that is underneath the driver's seat. There is absolutely no reason to pull the disc out, unless you are replacing it with a newer disc.
It is possible to accidentally hit the unit with your shoes or while vacuuming the floor in that area. Check under the driver's seat and make sure that the unit's door is not open. If you still have a problem, then open the unit's door all the way, press the eject button and check the disc for scratches.
If no disc comes out, then you are definitely going to need a replacement.
If a disc comes out, check it for scratches and reinsert it if it looks ok (as it should). Then close the unit's door and retry to use the navigation system.
its really easey to remove the dvd unit under the pasenger seat. just put the seat all the way forward and pull the plastic guard from the seat track (pull straight back) then unplug the harness connectors in the back of the unit.
Then put the seat all the way back and remove the 1o mm nuts on the side brackets of the unit and pull it forward.
