Question about 2004 Toyota Sienna

Steering wheel vibrations - '05 Sienna

I have a '05 Sienna which I purchased new. Ever since I replaced the original tires (Dunlop 4000) about a year ago with new tires (Bridgestone Turanza EL42) I've permanently had vibrations in my steering wheel. I've had wheels alignment, several tire balances at different tire centers...just a waste of time and money. The vibration occurs at 60-65 MPH and is getting worse around 75 when I can feel it in the seats and gas pedal. This is soooo annoying and frustrating to say the least. The car has only 36 K miles and I only use it for long trips. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Eliminating steering linkages and tires as a possibility, the only things remaining to check are WHEEL BEARINGS (likely culprit on Ford trucks), brake rotors (cheap just to buy new ones and replace while servicing or replacing the wheel bearings), and loose or worn shock absorbers.

Squeeky belt and front wheel vibration after having belts replaced

I would guess your two issues are separate. The squealing belt could be an adjustment problem or a wet or damaged belt. Belts can vary, how long they last. I have replaced them the next year on some cars and others could 3 or 4 years. The tire vibration could be related to the tire tread or some type of tire defect(a bubble in the side wall), may be an alignment problem. Check the steering components, tie-rods, ball joints, and wheel bearings.

Hi, I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla the steering wheel vibrates at any speed.Did wheel alignment but aint got better. Pls advise. Cheers, Anks

Vibration or a "shimmey" is an indication that the tires need to be balanced. This is not related to the wheel alignment you had done A poorly balanced tire will vibrate on its own, transferring the vibration all the way through the steering wheel. Have the tires balanced. If this doesn't fixy your issue, then the problem lies between the rotors (could have a warped rotor) and the rack and pinion. Best of luck on your problem.

I would guess incorrectly tightened or installed wheel bearing. Or it might just need to get greaced.

Vibration and noise from front end while driving

Jack up the front end and put stands under it and block rear wheels. Look at axle boots and see if they are cracked. Try turning wheel back and forth sharply and see if you can hear any clicking. Problem could be outer axle joints. If the boots are cracked or you hear a clicking noise you will have to replace the axle. The axle and boot come as a complete unit. Please let me know what you find out.
