Question about 1996 Nissan Sentra
Ok so I have a 1996 Nissan Sentra with a litle over 100,000 miles. I just cleared a couple of IBD codes about 3 weeks ago for a speed sensor. (Working fine for now.) any way. I am driving into work when my brake and battery light both turn on and are flickering. They stay on except for when I accelerate. When I release the gas petal it comes back on. Does anybody have any Idea what this might be?
Check the fluid level in the brake reservoir. The sensor in it may be detecting low fluid. This usually means you need a brake job since the rotors/pad/shoes have worn down.
The battery light may be caused by the alternator not charging. Check the drive belt - it could be loose. You can get the charging system check at Sears and some auto parts stores. Call around.
