Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Galant
When ever I am at a stop light and holding down the brake, my galant will surge. If you can imagine a dog barking and then lunge at something that is the same effect. I was told that this can be due to a possible thermal breakdown of the transmission fluid. this problem can be fixed by flushing the transmissions fluid and then refilled with revised fluid. is this true? and if so, how much would this cost me? I am very worried.
It could also be a problem in the power brake booster valve too (It could be many different things, however tranny fluid is not on my list).. Is the tachometer surging or dropping as well more than 200-300 rpm? How many miles are on the car and or the tranny fluid?
