Question about 1996 Mercury Cougar XR7
Have a 1996 Mercury Cougar XR7... need to find a hole in the firewall to route power cable for a stereo amp into the cab. I don't want to start drilling holes in stuff, and I'm sure there's a way around this besides paying upwards of $70 to have the amp professionally installed.
If you look at the firewall area you usually can see rubber or plastic black plugs to run wiring to the passenger compartment; look by the left side kick panel on the floor next to your brake pedal; good area to drill if you have to ; make sure you insulate any cable or power supply going through the firewall so the wire is protected from rubbing or vibration
