2003 ce lancer car keeps overheating... thermo fan isnt working... coolant is going but no leak.. checked fuses all seem fine.. not sure what to do next

It should be either the thermostat or the water pump. The water pump will sometimes allow you to go about 25-30 miles before it overheats. The thermostat would likely be the cause if once the temperature guage starts going up,it kind of just keeps going and overheats. You need to avoid driving and overheating as much as possible due to very bad engine damage.Hopefully you have a second car.You can call a couple shops, they normally will give you a free opinion, just describe it with as much information as you can to get an accurate one. Also you can get free estimates unless you plan to self-repair.Good luck! Hi I the owner of a lancer 2003 4g18 Engine CVT transmission leaking oil by timing belt i have change seals about 4 times already i don't know what to do again.

maybe the leak is not in the cam or crank oil seals. i have the same car, found out the leak is coming from the valve cover and crank case (oilpan).

How to change a timing belt for a lancer

The rule has been always been first to come out is the last to be attached. You will have to remove the tire where you have the engine mounted (opposite the transmission). Loosen up the fan belt pulley and have them removed. You should have access to the cover for you to get the timing belt out by loosening the tensor. Inspect the other parts or have them replaced, such as water pump to save you the labor.

all engine overheating is du to malfunctioning cooling parts or coponents in the engine or attached to engine or car ... first ck for leak , coolant or water leak , then ck if the thermostat open on time to let the waterpass trhu ck the cooling fans if they working propely and kick on time , ck for an cloged radiator that neded to be fluch up nicolas

Hi Kiwimarc69,
the service interval of your camblet is 100000kms. make sure you do the cam and crank seals as well when you get your cambelt replaced.
I would also suggest having a good look at the water pump as well cause sometimes they can show a little leak down the small exaut hole on the water pump housing.
Cheers
