I need to know why my chevy astro.4.3l 2002 v6 after changing the timing chain wont run normaly.

Check the timing again to make sure you didn't slip a tooth when you lined up the marks. Make sure #1 is at TDC and the rotor in the distributor is pointing at the #1 plug on the cap.

Need timing spec for 1986 astro van

Base timing should be on the VECI sticker under the hood or just google the make model and engine size and you'll find it.

I need a fire timing order for a chevy astro van v6

THE FIRING ORDER IS AS FOLLOWS : 1-6-5-4-3-2.
CYLINDER NUMBERS (front-to-rear) :
LEFT (driver side) 1-3-5
RIGHT (passenger side) 2-4-6

To set ignition timing, ensure that engine is at operating temperature, (190 degrees or above), bypass EST (electronic spark timing) by unplugging the single tan wire with a black stripe from the distributor. Ignition timing should be set at 0 degrees or TDC (top dead center). If not, loosen distributor hold down bolt and adjust, then retighten.

2001 astro chevy van 4.3 engines need to set the timing

The distributor in that engine can only be installed in one position. The hold down is built onto the distributor meaning when it is installed and the engine runs the computer is responsible for the timing. The distributor will move a little but won't correct major timing errors.

Not sure if my van has timing chain tensioner or

Changed camshaft gear as well? You will have a little movement each side but it shouldn't be too loose.

1988 4.3 astro van only runs with timing 16 degrees advanced.spec is 0 degree.yes pings terribly.if set to zero wont start or run.

This could mean your timing chain if off a tooth. Do a compression test. Lowest cylinder should have at least 75% compression of highest cylinder. If off check timing. Thanks
