How do you replace a heater cor in a 1983 ford f150

Behind the glove box is the plastic box-shaped plenum. The heater core is behind that cover. 
The cover is held in place by 8-9 small hex-head screws. 
The core has no attachments and is held in place by the
heater-hose clamps on the engine-side of the firewall. That is the procedure i believe.

I have a 1997 ford F150 4x4 king cab that has no heat. I have flushed the radiator, changed the heater core and flushed the heater hose. Still no heat.


Have any of you stopped to think that the Thermostadt may B bad especially after flushing the radiator replacing the heator cor Duh!!!!
Rplace the Thermostadt it will more then likley do the trick.
When the thermostadt goes out you will experiamce hot radiators no heat . ect.... first thing 95% of the people that experiance this replace the heator core first . no that you have elemanated the least obvious do the most

My heater wont get hot blows but its cold air


could be your heater cor or just low on fluid if the truck over heats as well could be your thermostat stuck closed if does not over heat could be stuck open

I have a 1983 ford f150 with a 300 and a 4 speed manual transmission wont go in reverse


The spider gear is probely worn out if so replace transmisson easy to find i junck yard or remove shifter and check pattern in top of transmisson and try to shift with a large screw driver with engine off and with out engaugeing clutch. berrydalewolf
