Question about 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab

2 Answers

I have a 2000 dodge durango, I have a code P0320.

I have a 2000 dodge durango 4.7L, I have a code P0320. What is the code and how do I fix it? I have a 2000 Dakota QC w/4.7L. From day 1 I experienced periodic startup issues with normal start and 30 sec later it would almost choke out and then rev up and back to norm. Never could find prob until maybe now. My truck died on me twice today and gave me the P0320 code. Once when backing up and then when slowing down to turn into driveway. Never before was there a code. I figured I would have to wait for the hard fail. So far info is leading me to the Crank position sensor. I will try that first unless the dealership service guy tells me something different. This has been a long and frustrating problem.

Above me is right it's a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Hard to get this out so it may be cheap enough to have them change it at the shop. Only a $32 part

The PCM has 3 connectors plugged into it. Try wiggling each connector and listen for a clicking sound, starting with the connector furthest from the front of the Durango, and the middle connector with a white top.

If this doesn't help, replace your PCM. The PCM (power control module) can get hot, causing a short or broken circuit inside the module. Replacing the module will fix the problem. If your truck dies randomly when it's hot outside, but will start back up after it cools down, this is probably the problem.

How to fix code 700 on my 2003 dodge Durango can't find the sensor

Well there is no sensor.
Code 700 is a general fault with the transmission control module.
It could be a problem with the module, or the wiring between the module and the transmission, or between the module and the engine computer. Usually there are more codes to go with a code 700.

Hoe do I reset the security light on a 2000 Dodge Durango

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON DUE TO A CODE THAT WAS THROWN, JUST RESETTING THE LIGHT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING CAUSE THE CODE STILL REMAINS THERE, YOU WOULD NEED AN OBD2 READER TO SEE WHAT THE CODE IS THAT IS COMING UP AND TO RESET IT. IF YOU DONT FIX WHAT IS THROWING THE CODE THE LIGHT WILL NEVER GO OUT.
