i wuold check to see if any check engine lights are on? if so then read and clear and see if problem goes away. if not i would take a look at the idle control valve. if it is bad then vehicle will present same issues as you are stating. Other issues could be fuel filter, weak pump, or a good fuel cleaning could be in order. let me know and ill help you as much as i can

I'm smelling gas fumes inside the car when I'm idling but as soon as I accelerate it goes away

Gas smells come from leaks or the engine running too rich ( over fueled ). You need to inspect for any wetness/dampness around the fuel lines/rail and injectors if the smell appears from under the hood. If the engine is over fueled, a scan test can be performed to find out why. Sometimes oil leaks on/around the exhaust system can also give a fuel type smell. Have the vehicle checked for this also.

Mitsubisihi magna 1999 v6 has pettrol steaming from exhaust and bad fuel smelling vapour comes out of the exhaust

if its actually raw fuel then the car is running very rich(too much fuel). the bad fuel vapour smell is also an indication of over fuelling.

CODES P0300, P1128

po300 is random miss fire doubtful two O2 sensors bad at one time most likely coolant temp sensor is bad causing engine to run rich this will cause O2 sensors to throw a code(thats what they are there for..exhaust gas temp. and raw fuel) running rich will also fowl spark plugs(=miss fire) P1128 ??

Raw fuel

Is your check engine light on?
Your truck is running rich(obviously), I'm wondering if your CEL is on because it will come on, if the O2 sensor/s are bad.
And that would make your truck run rich(upstream sensors)

92 jeep wrangler 5 spd 4 cyl skipping and bogging down replaced timing chain distributor plugs wires injector o rings cleaned out fuel tank new map sensor and new crank sensor sometimes it runs fine but...

Replace the catalyst convertor. When a convertor goes bad, the guts of it break apart and end up clogging the exit port. One of its functions is to remove toxins from the air. Helps the emission system to run rich or lean gas exhaust.

Heavy exhaust smell when idling or warming up the car

most likely an o2 sensor is bad...but if it were bad, it should throw the check engine light before long, if it already hasnt. the oxygen sensor is what makes the air/fuel ratio mixture, thus if its bad depending on which one, either the vehicle will run way tooo lean, or way to rich therefore smelling raw fuel when running at idle. hope this helps

Troubleshooting fuel system for 1975 jeep cj5

Fuel pumps just supply fuel to the carb. Either they work or don't work. I would make sure that the mixture screws on the carb are set properly. Turn the screws in to lean out the mixture, do one at a time.
You want to turn the screws in to the point where the jeep will start to idle rough and then back out a 1/2 turn. Check your timing also. If the jeep has alot of miles on it, the timing chain will stretch and it's possible that you cannot get the correct timing.

Running rich. No power. 5.2 v8

it can cause it to run rich because the oxygen sensor may be getting a false reading as to how much oxygen is there....this in turn causes the pcm to add more fuel

Idle low then hi, and gas smell, and bad gas mileage

This should show up easily on the ECU diagnostics computer at a mercedes dealership. Basically your fuel mixture is way too rich causing your car to be heavy on gas, have a raw gasoline smell, and not run right. Something like this can be caused by a defective oxygen sensor (but that usually produces a check engine light) or it might even be a defective ECU. There is really not way of knowing for sure until you do a proper diagnostics where they hook up your exhaust at the same time and do an emmission test. In most cases it's some sensor that needs replacing.
