How will I know if 1 of the engin mountings broke or collapsed

If the car only swerves briefly it is probably an engine mounting but if the car keeps steering to one side with constant power, the problem could be suspension related.

Another sign of a faulty engine mounting is when the car vibrates from side to side under a certain constant power load, usually very low power like on a slight downhill. Accelerating ******* an uneven road surface with faulty engine mountings can result in a "stop-and-jump" feeling of the vehicle.

The best way might be to open the bonnet and with the brakes applied. let someone put power on first gear and next, on reverse. Check how much the engine moves. The engine should never pull to one side, but only upwards or downwards. In your case, the car pulled to the right when the engine braked the wheels. That means the engine will pull to the right of the car when the power is applied in reverse, if the engine mounting is faulty.

How do i set the cruise control on my 1994 mercedes c220 elegance automatic

Cruise Control
Any given speed above approximately 22 mph (35 km/h) can be maintained with the cruise control by operating the lever.
-see photo

  1. Accelerate and set: Lift lever briefly to set speed. Hold lever up to accelerate.
  2. Decelerate and set:
Depress lever briefly to set speed. Hold lever down to decelerate.
Normally the vehicle is accelerated to the desired speed with the accelerator. Speed is set by briefly pushing
the lever to position 1 or 2. The accelerator can be released. The speed can be increased (e.g. for passing)
by using the accelerator. As soon as the accelerator is released, the previously set speed will be resumed automatically. If a set speed is to be increased or decreased slightly, e.g. to adapt to the traffic flow, hold lever in position 1 or 2 until the desired speed is reached, or briefly tip the control lever in the appropriate direction for increases or decreases in 0.6 mph (1 km/h) increments. When the lever is released, the newly set speed remains.
  3. Canceling
To cancel the cruise control, briefly push lever to position 3.
When you step on the brake or the vehicle speed drops below approx. 22 rnph (35 km/h), for example when driving upgrade, the cruise control will be canceled.
4. Resume
If the lever is briefly pushed to position 4 when driving at a speed exceeding approx. 22 mph (35 km/h), the vehicle resumes the speed which was set prior to the cancellation of the cruise control. The last memorized speed is canceled when the key in the steering lock is turned to position 1 or 0.
If the engine does not brake the vehicle sufficiently while driving on a downgrade, the speed you set on the cruise control may be exceeded and you may have to step on the brake pedal to slow down.
As soon as the grade eases, the cruise controlled speed will again be maintained as long as the brakes were not previously applied, or the lever may be used to resume the previously set speed if the brakes were applied.

After turning on truck .an go to accelerate the truck hesitates an makes a "Brake sticking sound wen throttle is applied. .on the Traxxas Summit. .Thankyou!

do you here rumbling also from one or both sides front or rear if its four wheel disc brakes one or more brake calipers can be locked up or the emergency brake is not releasing in the rear if drum brakes in the rear the return springs could have broken this is what pulls the brake shoes back when you take your foot off the pedal and will make a lot of noise and cause resistance because the brake for that wheel is partially or fully applied LATER MAN!

My rigth side front brake is locking the wheel off while driving and the brake is applied

most common cause would be a bad disk brake caliper, or bad brake hose.

the way to find out witch one, is to jack up the front of the car and put it on jack stands. put the transmission in neutral. then turn the front wheels one at a time and wile turning the wheel have some one apply the brake the wheel should stop turning immediately and then wile applying pressure on the wheel have the person in the car release the brake pedal the brake should release immediately if not, then open the brake bleeder on the offending caliper if the brake releases then. you have a bad brake hose if the brake still does not release with the bleeder open then you have a bad brake caliper.

Wat is ars

ASR system:

"The electronic stabilisation program (ESP) makes the vehicle easier to control in handling situations close to the limit It reduces the danger of swerving and thus improves directional stability. ESP identifies the car's intended direction and response. It applies the brakes on individual wheels, thereby generating one-sided forces that help to keep the car moving in the desired direction. The program uses the anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), the electronic differential lock (EDL) and the traction control (ASR) system, and is permanently active."
"For today's typical high-torque engines, a form of wheelslip regulation or traction control (ASR) can increase both comfort and safety, particularly on surfaces with differing coefficients of friction or on slippery roads. It makes smooth starts and acceleration possible through all speed ranges without wheel-spin or fishtailing.
ASR only operates in conjunction with the electronic accelerator (E gas) and uses components of the anti-lock braking system (ABS). If one wheel suddenly begins to rotate faster than the others (slip), ASR intervenes in the engine management system and reduces power until the wheel stops spinning.
ASR improves traction and can help the driver maintain control even if the limit of adhesion is inadvertently reached while cornering. In addition, it reduces tire wear. ASR activation, is indicated by a flashing light in the instrument cluster; it works with the electronic differential lock (EDL) and it is also part of the electronic stabilization program (ESP). ASR can be deactivated with the ESP switch."

In a 1998 4x4 jimmy 4 door I am experiencing a vibration which feels like its in the front end. the only occurs while accelerating, but stops almost instantly after letting off the gas pedal. Vibration...

This could be a loose hub bearing causing the hub to move in and out .When accelerating the weight shift will be less on the front wheels so the hub may be moving in and out during this .Have this checked soon :)
