Keeps running hot after repairs

Hi, Put my 1998 5.9 grand cherokee in the shop for the elec. fan that stop working. So far I've had 3 water pump, themo, 2 fans and my truck is still running hot when they keep telling me its fixed.what could be the problem? what else do i need them to check?

Thanks so much..I will have them to check that next I've had all kinds of problems come up. When I was told it was fixed the 1st time and I drove it home and it ran hot. Do you think that would be causing all the problems that I'm having.Plus they keep asking for more money. Last time pick up gauge went past the 1/2 mark to the next line. Stop by a garage and they told me it was running hot and could hear a boiling noise....

well if you can hear it boiling i wouldn't even bother checking the temp sensor it is a blockage in the radiator or the a bad thermostat if i had to guess check and make sure the cooling fans come on to check this you can turn on the air conditioner and look and make sure they are spinning

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Leredo is overheating I changed thermostat also my fan is not working and keeps saying coolnd low and its full and the heat in the car will not run hot it stays cold

Sounds like some type of blockage in the system.
with the car cool open the radiator cap, start the engine to see if the coolant has flow.
Even though you just put in a new thermostat it can still be bad,I've had this happen to me a few times.
If the flow seems slow to nill you can also try removing the thermostat all together and giving that a try.
You can test the thermostat in a boiling pot of water.
If ir is totally not the thermostat then there could be a few cooling chambers blocked in the radiator.
This can be repaired in most cases by a "Rod out" at a local radiator shop.
I think the problem is more twards the thermostat for the reason you stated about your heater.
good luck,Gary.

My 1998 jeep grand cherokee is running hot and leaking water, is the water pump bad?

well first i would check all the water hoses in the engine compartment for cracks and leaks then check around the radiater for leaks if you don't see any water leaking from the hoses or the radiater then try to see if you see water coming from the water pump behind the cooling fan if the water is leaking from behind the cooling fan then it is most likely your water pump

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is running hot, should I believe it is the water pump? I still have heat.

Yes a bad water pump will definitely cause it to run hot. you'll probably be able to hear it as well as a whinning noise from the front of the engine. Also check for really low or incorrect fluid. jeeps are know for bad water pumps and leaky radiators. the heater pump is a seperate pump from the water pump. Also check for radiator fan opperation while the vehicle is stopped. If the fan is not coming on, it could be a fuse, relay, or intake air temp sensor.

3.1 grand cherokee jeep 2001 td ltd boiling over chandged rad ,stat ,pump seems ok any ideas .ok on tickover with pressure cap on or of but when driving for about 30min car boils over and water light comes...

Check out the fan, maybe is not working, about 1 year ago same happened to me, changed many parts but keep getting hot and finally found that the fan had a short circuit and sometimes didnt work.

There is a connector between the fan motor and the fuse box eliminate the connector instead directly join wire to wire

Could be several things,

never heard of this before ,i have worked on quite a few jeeps here in spain but never had this before .power steering yes ,radiators yes ,funny american electrics big time ,does yours have the manual fan and a back up electric fan or is it all electric fans .Quick tip ----if it starts to run hot ,put the heater on screen and blower on full this will keep the engine cool ,if no heats comes out of heater then stop because you have no water in the rad
