It wouldn't be a fuse if that's the only light that's not working, I believe all of the parking lights are on the same fuse. It's most likely a bad ground or corrosion inside the socket where the bulb makes the electrical connection. So check the socket to make sure it has no corrosion, if it does, clean it up and apply some dielectric grease (available at any parts store) to prevent future corrosion, and check for a loose or broken ground wire.

License plate light

The licence plate doesn't have a fuse, it comes on when you put your lights on, if you have your park lights on and the plate light isn't working then generally it's just a bulb, see what you can find, cheers good luck

Need to replace fuse for license plate bulbs for 2010 Ford Edge SEL....What fuse number is it?

normally the number plate light is on the same fuse as the park lights . I would be looking for a fault in the number plate area ( broken wire or blown bulb or bad/ no earth)

License plate light do not stay on,the bulbs are not blown, the vehicle in qusetion is a 2007 chevy tahoe

Hello,

If you notice should be a couple small screws to remove lens to get to bulb. A lot of times it just a loose bulb or the prongs on end of bulb that hits the copper connection. First take bulb out, replace it, even though it works, but new one would have nice new connection, and before putting it in, spray inside where bulb goes with electrical cleaner can get at any auto supply, then put in. Should work. On a 2007, it is unlikely there is a ground problem, but if so, after trying this, get back to me and I will tell you how to check wires and what to do. NOW understand sometime even though the bulb is not blown it is not getting a good connection from bottom of bulb to copper prongs on female side insert. I do not thing it is wiring as said earlier.

License plate light is out where do i look for a fuse or does it have a fuse or do i just change bulb

I don't know if that bulb has a dedicated fuse or shares one with the tail lamps (for example)
But if you remove the bulb, you can test it with a continuity meter.
If the bulb is NOK, replace it.
If it is OK, then there is possibly a bad connection in the socket or, as you suggest, blown fuse.
But I would expect a blown fuse also to have stopped other items working.

No lights for my license plate. Don't know if it is a fuse or bulb. Where is the fuse?

Typically the license plate light will come on with the running lights....if all the other lights are good I would suspect a bad bulb or trouble at the bulb holder....
Take care.

Bulb on license plate is out and cruise control. 2004 cavalier

The two problems should not be related to one another. The the fuses for the park lights and the cruise control. The license plate bulb is wired along with the rest of your park lights. If the rest of the park lights are working then check for power and ground at the bulb holder. If you have both there, check the bulb and the fit again. If no power or ground is there you will have to trace the wires. If the fuse is not blown to the cruise control, more information is required to trouble shoot any further.

My license plate lights dont work help?

the bulb is most likely burned out. there are a few types of license plate lights out there. some where you have to replace the whoel unit and some that have replaceable bulbs. both you can find at your local parts store.
