The cooling fans keep running, on my 90 acura legend, even if the engine is cold and hasnt ran for hours or even days.. They cycle on and off as if the temp. sending unit is saying the engine is hot.....

This question got duplicated several times for some reason.
You would check the fan relay to see if the temp sensor is grounding it, if the relay is hanging on, or if you have a short in the wiring.
The blue wire goes from the temp switch to the fan relay and the fan control module.

Why won't the fan motor shut off on my 1991 acura legend?

Hey chandralebea,

Try first by replacing the cooling fan engine temp sensor switch, as this may be the cause.

Good Luck

I have repair my cooling sytem replaced from top to bottom new radiator, water pump, timebelt, thermostat, and new switch in radiator. but my fan are not running need help why???

These cars have been known to have bad radiator fan relays/condensor fan relay. they're located on drivers side,in small relay box attached to radiatortop support bracket.that relay is also common with several others on car so you could `technically swap out with another identical relay from car for testing purposes.anyways.

1993 Acura Legend cooling fan relay was replaced and I dont know if it works. I can run hot wire from battery and the fan will come on.

fan should come on at 210 degrees or when a/c is turned on. if it comes on w/a/c and not with temp
replace temperature sensor.

My 93 acura legend wont start. Ticking sound??

That sounds like a dead battery. The ticking sound is the relay (a type of switch) which enables power to the starter motor when you turn the key. If the battery is weak, the relay will click, but there is not enough power to turn the starter motor.

My 1993 acura legend will die for no reason but most of the time it will start right back up some times it will take a wile but it will start back up. You never know when its going to do it you might drive...

When it dies does it take enough time to restart as if it needed to cool down for maybe 15minutes or so? the problem sounds most like your starting to have a pgmf-i main relay go bad.Its located on drivers side up behind lower kick panel. its a dealer only part but any acura dealer will have several in stock.
