Then you likely need to rep[lace the fuel pump, check the pressure at the test port on the top of the engine. If the pump is the problem you must drop the fuel tank to access it. Also change the filter if a new pump is needed.

Where is the eec part on the ford taurus 1992 im looking for the feul relay system

I am not sure, but I believe the fuel pump relay on most Ford's is in the trunk, above the fuel pump.
There is an inertial switch that shuts off if bumped, and you have to manually push a button to reset it.

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1992 ford tempo?

The fuel pump relay is part of a large relay control unit called the IRCM (intagrated relay control module)

The module is about 6"x4"x2" and has gobs of wires (large retangular connector) coming out of it, the module is mounted on a bracket under the hood that is bolted to the top of the driver's side front strut tower, this module can be self tested by a dealer to see if it is bad, they seldom fail, I am a Ford dealer tech and have only replaced 2 in 20 years, Tempo does however have a fuel pump issue..

change to a good Motorcraft (Ford) oil filter with good check valve in it.

Try adding some Chevron Techron Fuel injector cleaner with less than 1/4 tank of fuel. It will clean varnish from injectors.

How to replace fuel filter on 1992 Ford Tempo

Very easy really, raise the hood look on the right front fender well, or your left side. You will see a metal canister with a hose on each end. there should be a metal hose clamp securing the filter to the fender well a slot head screw driver will loosen the clamp and remove it so can get to both ends of the filter you will see a white plastic plastic clips going through the connection where hose meets the canister. pull the clips out. Take new fuel filter making sure you have the correct flow direction , new filter should say in and out on each end, and reinstall it like the old on came out. Make sure you carefully put those plastic clips back in the slots the old ones came out of

make sure to do a fuel pressure test and the presure should stay at 35 psi even after turning ingition off the pressure must to be at least 25 to 30 psi for a few minutes, if it goes to cero or close to it, after turning ignition on then you might need a neww fuel pump installed on it
