Question about 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

I have a 2006 range rover the problem power steering / door lock

The problem I'm having is the power steering will go out on me from time to time. at times i will not have power steering if i turn the car off and turn it back on the power steering may come back.
Also the power door lock for the back passenger doors will not unlock from time to time. i have taken it to the dealer twice and they say its fixed but its not.

I have the same exact problem with my 2005 rr hse which is weird because power steering goes in and out and the front two doors will unlock the the back two or rear hatch will not open at all right now. As long as the child safety locks are not on I can reach in and open the back doors. The dealer tested my car for the door issue and said the module bemc? was bad and needed to be replaced $830 dollars cheap fix huh.

SOURCE: 2006 Camry remote won't unlock 1 door

There is a motor that lock and unlocks each door, and it's sometimes part of the door latch assembly. These do go bad. First try spraying some penetrating oil on the latch (open the door, you will see it, as it's at the opening, 1/2 the way up the door) as it may free it up. Ohterwise, you need to get the latch checked out.

SOURCE: Range Rover 2006 brake fluid flushing (when?)

brake fluid should be changed every time you change the brake pad. Brake fluid is not the same as hydraulic fluid, which don't contain alcohol, which attract moisture and dirt.
with that say, I don't think too many people really change the brake fluid, not till the brake stop working.

SOURCE: land rover discovery central locking.

No, likely to be caused by the actuators in the lock mechanism failing usually causing the door to remain locked. The boor door can also fail this way, as do the front side doors. Replacement requires the whole lock unit to be replaced at a cost of roughly £60 a lock, and a hours work. Helps if you have small hands. Requires a full strip down of the door and you will need the lock unit, trim clips (a few quid) and a trim removal tool (tenner). You can bodge with a flat head screwdriver, but the tool does help prevent damage to the clips & trim panel.

Ignition Key won't turn ?

Replace the battery in the key. There is probably an interlock between the doorlocks and the ignition key. Steering will not operate until the ignition key interlock functions and the engine is started.

Range rover p38 problems

I have the same problem sometimes
1 Check the condition of your battery, if old, it will not give full power required to communicate with the security system.
2 If you don't have the EKA of your RR, try this next time you get caught, put key in the drivers door look, press unlock button on key fob and at the same time turn to unlock, if all locks unlock then the engine should not be immobilized - Good luck

2004 range rover right door window and lock not working

Because nothing is working I would say that a multiplug connector has disconnected itself. Either in the door or in the wiring harness where it passes through the door pillar. I wouldn't think there is a broken wire as its unlikely all would break at the same time unless the wires were accidentally cut. I would also say its unlikely to be a fuse as there is only 1door affected.
