Check your fuel pressure good chance that there is enough fuel getting there under light load but not enough under heavy load it should not drop below 45 pounds at WOT ( wide open throttle ) while driving under a load if it drops to low good place to start at the pick up screen in the tank or the pump itself

Ford code 303 1998 6cyl e250

Is the van running rough at idle? Does it seems to have a slight miss as you accel? What kind of mileage do you have. Ford 4.2L with high mileage could have EGR ports that are clogged in the lower intake. Unplug the EGR vacuum line and see if the misfire goes away ( 303 is a cylinder #3 misfire code )

The PO 316 is still misfires om first 1000 revolutions
so the shop did a poor job for you on resolveing the
cylinder misfires

Try a diffferent shop

Have to clean the MAF Sensor & replace upstream
oxygen sensors if over 100,000 miles

Need the correct oem spark spark plugs/any brand

No reason the gas filter should be clogged unless it was in
the car for 10 years

Fuel pressure should be checked

Need to check for cylinder misfires on a road test of 20
miles or more with professional software in Mode#06

Go to Autozone and get free test for DTC codes. Report them here.
You may have bad drivers in the PCM caused bu the bad coils. Just a maybe.
More common with 3.0L V-6 in Escape.

Have a 2003 e250 ford van misfiring i changed the plugs the coil and the plug wires still missing

easy way is to get a plug wire puller that is insulated with it running pull the plugwires one at a time untill you pull one and the engine does not change this will be the cylinder that is misfireing, then check plug and ensure it is not fouled ou and check wire and dist, cap for cracks. berrydalewolf

2003 Ford E250 w/4.6 runs rough, missing

is there a check engine light on? if so what the codes?
this could possibly be a coil misfiring you should have this scanned, and tested for a misfire.

97 safari won't start when wet, after it rains the van will not start, fuel pump is new, seems like no spark, let dry for couple of days and it runs like normal

Had same exact problem, it was a bad coil. I could not duplicate "no start" problem with water bottle. Replaced coil and problem gone.
Note: There was a noticeable engine misfire at highway speeds on humid days. This accompanied the no start problem.

I'm getting the same message, when I'm driving at about 65 mph van starts losing power, kind of "coughing". I've been told that could be either fuel inyector or the need of a good tune-up. I'm taking my van (2002 E250 V8) to the dealership, they have the special equipment to zero into the problem and fix it,
