You have a bad wire on the back of your radio..a wire that controls your light display is not connected or an inline fuse is bad to that one wire.

How do I fix the clock display on my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire?

It appears to be that the radio clock display has malfunctioned, and is due for a replacement radio, which could be an aftermarket or oem radio, maybe found at a junk yard.

Tools required for oem replacement radio, torx keys set.

Before working on the radio or other electronics, disconnect the battery cables with 8mm wrench.

Replacing the oem radio is much easier, if you obtain oem radio, compared to aftermarket radio, due to being direct fit.

The radio is same for 1995 to 1999 Pontiac Sunfire and the Chevy Cavalier, regardless of sub models, such as SE,GT, VL,VLX,Z24. etc.

Parts needed for the the aftermarket radio install :Stereo assembly, stereo wiring harness adapter, radio antenna adapter, and dash install kit.wiring diagram for the wire colors / functions, along with tools, such as torx key set, screwdrivers, wire crimper, wire stripper, double ended wiring connectors, hair dryer.

The oem stereo removal video is for the 2000 to 2005 Sunfire / Cavalier, but are the same or very similar procedures.

My 98' Chevy S10 Warning lights stay on after it is turned off and the key is taken out

I would suggest you take it to a Chevy Mechanic/Dealership. This maybe a common problem inherent to this make/model. Sounds like a relay issue. Various recalls were issued for this make if I recall. Always good to have the dealer check those.

Dome light won't work exept by the override switch-sometimes

I seem to be having the exact opposite problem. I have a 99 chevy blazer and the dome light will not turn off unless I push the override button in. The radio does turn off as soon as I turn off the ignition key. If I leave the dome override button out, the dome light will constantly stay on even while I am driving. It used to work fine. Every now and them it starts working properly, but it hasn't worked right for a long time now. I tested all the switches and they all seem ok. They rear hatch is also closed. Does anyone know what the problem can be and how to fix it?

I have a 98 Chevy Blazer that is completely dead - no lights, no door locks, no guages -- and obviously it won't start. Not even a click from the solenoid when I turn the key. Got any ideas?

unplug the crankshaft positioning sensor (front of engine, just above the oil pan by the balancer) and try again to crank, if yes, then either sensor is shot (about $60) or short along the way (I found mine by the wires to the coil)
