Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Galant
I have replaced the ignition coil on Cylinder 2 of my Mitsubishi galant twice and it will work for about a month and then go bad. Which tellls me it is not the parts I am using but something with my car. What coould it be. I have had my car checked for leaks and had the pressure checked. My catalytic converter needs to be replaced on my car, but could it really make this ONE cylinder keep going bad???
Code 304 is number 4 cyl, check the plug insulator for white(arch) markings-if you see any markings replace the insulator

Check to make sure you have a good ground to the coil you can even try running another ground wire to the ground wire at the coil connector this is usally caused by a ground wire loose on the fender close to te battery but it may be some where else I would check that and run a extra ground spliced in at the connector by the coil just to make sure it has a good ground
