Question about 1997 Pontiac Sunfire

Sunfire promblems i have a 2001 pontian sunfire the engine cranks but it wont star and my coil packs wont sent eletric. i change the camshaft sensore and computer and crankshaft sensore even the coil packsand nothing

    check the wires coming out ofthe ecu for about 2 feet back for being broken

    did youi change the prom in the ecu with your original ?

    always change you prom. take the chip out of your original and install in new

    no take it out of your original unit ihope you still have it or can retrieve it

    there will be a access panel on back ecu. the chip is directly inside on the board

Engine has eletric problem

have the ignition module & coil packs checked at an auto parts store if that is not the problem check the crankshaft sensor & camshaft sensor

2005 mazda mpv. 2 plugs not firing, resistance test on coils are uniform at 11.53

If you swop the coils, that will indicate if they are faulty or not.

Misfire in two cylinders

Check to see if the two cylinders misfiring are on the same coil pack. If so, change the coil pack in question.

This happened to me on 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine.

Also, check for a blown head gasket with compression test.

Talked several days ago about 2001 toyota sienna no spark no noid light pulse has fuel pressure no trouble codes changed crankshaft position sensor no fix 3.0l where is camshaft position sensor located...

Front part of the engine, above the front exhaust manifold to the right. Its usually black/grey sensor with an eletrical connector running from the RH side of the engine. By the way the cam sensor controls spark, the crank sensor controls fuel pulse. hopefully this helps
