Jun 17, 2009- ok I just looked at it. it is simple.
the lens pivots and presses a switch in on one end to make the light come on. take a butter knife or very small screw driver and reach in between the lens and the black center console. there you will CAREFULLY press a flat tab to the side that is made onto the lens ( I hope you dont break this tab).
on the very opposite position on the clear lens towards the door is where the lens has a tab that has a small hole in it. there is a plastic pin made onto the console trim that fits into this hole so the lens will pivot. this will give you an idea of which direction to pull the lens when you press in the tab,. it does look like it would break easily. I havent had to take mine off yet thankfully.

2006 Town & Country I need to remove the whole map light assembly to retrieve the white switch button that, makes the light go on, went inside so I can try to fix it.

Pull the Clear lens, They pop off. There should be screws to remove to get the assembly out. Most likely you will have to replace the assembly. But take it apart and see. That's what I do, even computers. It's already broken, doesn't work. Am I going to break it more? You just may fix it.

Po106 code chrysler town country

Hi Heather, I'm glad to help! Heather, provided you have a good vacuum going to the Map Sensor and wiring and connectors are good. That would be the first thing I would replace. But, if after checking wiring and connectors and a good vacuum you replace the map sensor and still have the code I would have it check out for a possible (PCM) Powertrain Control Module. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Heather!

AFTER CHANGING MAP SENSOR FOR MY 2001 CHRYSLER TOWN &COUNTRY VAN JUST RUNS FOR A FEW SECOND AND THEN DIES OUT WHAT WOULD CAUSE THAT PROBLEM

try reseting the immobiliser/alarm or fitting new bateries to the remotes then reseting as a first step.(i am assuming you disconnected the battery to fit map sensor)

I need to replace the bulb for the map/courtesy light on my 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. Does the cover just pop off?

Pop the cover off from the windshied side the pointy side, with a small trim tool or screwdriver. The seat side has a tab that turns the light on/off. Tab is easy to brake. Blub comes out counterclockwise

2002 Chysler Town and Country sat in the driveway for two weeks while on vacation. Came back to it not wanting to start. Won't even attempt to turn over. Replaced battery in it 2 months prior.

After you charge up the battery, check everything. You may have a map light on. With small children they often play with the map lights for rear passengers. Also It is hard to check, but the light may be on inside the glove box.

If none of these are the problem you have to have what is called a parasitic drain test done to determine what is not shutting off and draining the battery. These are always the tough ones.

Hope This Helps

I have a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country overhead mamap lite

I very gently pried on the outer curve of the clear cover. It snapped out easily. Then I noticed it only clips in to place on the left and right side of the widest part of the cover. I was then able to simply twist the bulbs out socket and all.

2007 Chrysler TOWN AND COUNTRY.. OVRHEAD MAP

I had the same problem on my 07 and it turned out to be caused by the bulbs getting too hot and melting the surrounding plastic which opened the circuit powering them. I was able to fix the problem by removing the bulbs and cleaning the sockets allowing the bulbs to seat correctly. The lenses snap off to give you access to the bulbs. If you are not familiar with how interiors of cars come apart, I would not suggest doing it as you may crack the lens.
