Question about 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio

1 Answer

Where do I install the turn signal relay on a 1998 Volkswagen Cabrio? The right turn signal is flashing very quickly. I've replaced the bulbs. The left turn signal works fine. Thanks, Joyce

From what you say in your post, I can tell you it is not the flasher... the symptom you describe is due to either a wire fault (a short) or one of your bulbs on the right side is incorrect. The relay is located under the drivers side dash above the fuses (listen for the clicking of the flasher) and you may actually be able to feel the proper relay "clicking"... Hope this helps...;-)

Check for power at the socket. If there is no power I would suspect the flasher relay wich supplies power to each bulb individually after it gets the right or left signal from the switch.

Check for a blown bulb either front or back on that side.

My 98 ram's cab lights stay on and blink off and on while i am driving, also my front right turn signal light does not work, it is not the bulb? what do you think it is?

The reason ur cab lights go on and off is from the door sensors on the door frame are not sending the correct signal to the light. Ur turn signal is either ur turn signal switch on your steering column or your turn signal relay

Turn signals flashing rapidly

This fast flash is caused by a burnt out bulb in the front or rear.
