Needs a jump to start the car, but when i take it for a ride it will lose power for a few seconds, then we would park it and the radio light will stay on and the battery would go dead.

While the car is running take off one of the battery cables if the car dies You need to get a new alternater The car runs on the juice from the jump... You probably can't drive far without it going dead

You should never disconnect the battery with the engine running as this can damage a perfectly good alternator due to the surge of it trying to keep the engine running. all manufactors will tell you this. put a voltmeter across the batery with the car running it should read about 14volts if it dosnt the alternator is not charging. make sure tho that you have an ignition light before the car is started as this needs to be working to make the alternator charge. hope this helps.

what happened when you tried jumping the car? sounds like it could be a bad ignition switch since only non-switched things work.

Why is my jetta losing a/c power when ABS light comes on?

It sounds like you have a low voltage problem in the system, that is about all that will cause this. Keep in mind you must have the Alternator tested when this is actually happening, if not the system will test ok.

2006 honda accord wont start. nothing happens when i turn it on, just a click. radio, lights and door chime work.vehicle will not jump start

First make sure the shift lever is properly in the park position. Hondas tend to have little problem in that area after a few years.
Second make sure battery terminals are clean and secure. Next you should try jumping the battery. A low battery may produce enough electricity to run the radio, lights, chimes etc but not enough to crank engine.

I drove my H3 yesterday and it did great! Parked in driveway.... Was going to go to store today & to my unexpected surprise it would not crank.... Just click, click, click (radio works). We tried...

Do a test 1st they are easy turn lights on and crank it if lights dime or go out it is the battery if lights stay bright it's most likely the start

Electrical issues with a 1997 Subaru Outback

I believe I can help with the clicking. The parking lights should be flashing Also. Whenever power is lost to the system IE the battery removed, The factory anti theft comes on. It is a small 4" x4" box hooked by steering column under dash. It has a red button you push for a few secounds and that should stop the clicking and flashing.
